My Chemical Romance have shared “Someone Out There Loves You (Live from Hoboken)” on their official artist channel. The video is dated October 16, ahead of the October 23 arrival of The Black Parade’s 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition. The important word in that title is “Live.”
You can watch the Hoboken recording on the band’s channel. On the Warner Records store’s track list, the title is shortened to “Someone Out There Loves You (Live).” Both listings point to a live performance. There is no new studio recording announced in either of them.
The song some fans know as Stay
The deluxe CD description says the song was long known to fans as “Stay” and was performed during the Black Parade World Tour. If you remember it under that shorter name, this is the connection to look for.
“Unreleased” needs a format attached to it here. A performance can have circulated or appeared in concert footage before receiving a new release as an album track. The store’s specific claim is that the three live bonus performances have not previously appeared on physical music formats. The claim concerns the physical edition, not every earlier way of hearing the performance.
Try the full title when searching a music service: “Someone Out There Loves You (Live from Hoboken).” You can then compare its label with the band’s upload. “Stay” is useful history, but it leaves out both the official title and the performance location.
What joins the original album
The CD’s published running order has 20 tracks. Its first 14 run from “The End.” through “Blood (A Brief Intermission).” The six additions form two groups:
- Three B-sides: “Heaven Help Us,” “Kill All Your Friends” and “My Way Home Is Through You.”
- Three live tracks: “Dead!,” “The Sharpest Lives” and “Someone Out There Loves You.”
Six additions does not mean six new compositions. Only the final three entries carry the live label in this listing. The original album and the added material remain distinct parts of the package.
The store gives October 23 as the shipping date. The October 16 video is already available; it should not be confused with the physical edition arriving a week later. The band is advertising several configurations, so this 20-track count applies to the deluxe CD listing checked here.
In a personal music library, keep “Live from Hoboken” in the title or version field. You will still recognise the performance if another recording of the song arrives later. Our album-edition guide explains the wider distinction between a recording, its mastering and the package that contains it.
