The Cribs will return to Wakefield on August 20, 2027 to celebrate 20 years of Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever. The hometown show is at Tileyard North, with ¡Forward, Russia! also on the bill. People living in the Wakefield postcode area can buy before the general sale.
That early access has a boundary: the band's announcement specifies WF1–WF17 postcodes for the October 21 residents presale. The Cribs describe this as their first hometown performance in 12 years, bringing the anniversary back to where the record was written.
Two sale dates to keep separate
- Wednesday, October 21, 10am: the Wakefield residents presale opens for 48 hours, with the postcode restriction above.
- Friday, October 23, 10am: the general sale opens through the Futuresound ticket listing.
The sale happens ten months ahead of the concert. If your address falls outside WF1–WF17, Friday is the date to put in your calendar. The band post doesn't spell out how residence will be checked, so read the presale instructions before trying to book.
NME reports that The Cribs will play the 2007 album in full. The album, rather than a general tour set, is the announced focus. Replaying its original sequence gives the songs between the familiar singles some space before the show. A full-album booking doesn’t, on its own, tell us what any additional songs will be.
Read the price beside the ticket type
At our October 19 check, See Tickets displayed general admission standing at £49.01, against a £42.50 face value. The difference is £6.51. Its note says the booking fee includes a £1.20 venue facility fee, so that £1.20 shouldn't be added again to the displayed price on the strength of this note alone. Check the final basket for your order total.
Premium standing was displayed at £82.76. That's £33.75 above the standard displayed price. The listing describes access to a premium bar, toilets and food offering; it doesn't describe a seated ticket or promise food and drinks are included.
A standard ticket means standing. Camping chairs and similar furniture aren't allowed; under-14s need an accompanying adult and under-fives can't attend. The page separately describes accessible standing and a viewing platform, so anyone needing those arrangements should read the appropriate ticket description.
See Tickets lists August 20 at 17:30 but supplies no Cribs stage time. Keep the evening free beyond that listing time rather than use it as a precise arrival-at-the-stage deadline. Our concert-ticket guide explains why the performance, venue and admission details need checking separately.
