The Strokes’ New SNL Clips: Two Live Songs and a Separate Official Video

The official SNL uploads pair “Lonely in the Future” with “Going Shopping.” Here’s where to watch, and how to tell the live clips from the artist video.

The Strokes’ latest Saturday Night Live performances are now available as two official uploads: “Lonely in the Future” and “Going Shopping.” Both pages on the verified SNL YouTube channel carry a publication date of 8 November 2026. The links below lead to SNL’s uploads, rather than copies posted by other accounts.

There’s another release to distinguish from those clips. The band’s own channel has also published an official video for “Lonely in the Future,” dated 8 November. It shares a song title with one of the SNL performances, but it is a separate video, with its own production credits.

Start with the two SNL uploads

The official “Lonely in the Future” performance runs about three minutes and 55 seconds in the player. “Going Shopping” on SNL runs about four minutes and 52 seconds. Together, that makes roughly nine minutes of video. That is our addition of the displayed clip lengths, rather than a claim about how long the band played during the broadcast.

SNL puts “Live” and “SNL” in the titles. The artist video instead says “Official Video.” Keep those words in your saved link label; two links both called “Lonely in the Future” would be easy to mix up. You can then return to the version you wanted without reopening both videos to find out which is which.

MP3Raid previously covered the advance SNL booking and its November dates. These uploads move the story beyond that announcement: the performances themselves are now publicly available through the programme’s channel. The earlier date guide remains useful background, but it isn’t the place to look for the newly posted clips.

The artist video is a different viewing choice

The Strokes’ official “Lonely in the Future” video is on their Official Artist Channel. Its description credits Warren Fu as director, and the player shows about four minutes and 20 seconds. A different running time does not, by itself, establish what changed musically; video introductions, endings and editing can all affect the length shown.

Choose the SNL link if you want the television performance. Choose the artist-channel link if you want the separately credited official video. Neither needs to stand in for the other, and the upload date alone won’t tell you which one you’ve found.

This is a source-based watch guide, not a review of the sound or a ranking of the performances. The links above identify the original uploads so you can make that listening comparison yourself.
