Panchiko will release Chimera on April 9, 2027. “One Car Hits Another,” featuring Mei Semones, is available now, and the band’s Bandcamp listing has twelve tracks waiting for release.
Semones listeners have more than the single to look forward to. She appears on three songs altogether. Her first is track two, “One Car Hits Another.” Track six, “Glazing,” brings in Hugh Pascall as well; track seven, “Zinc Spark,” also features Korea Girl.
Those last two songs sit together in the running order. If you’re following her contributions when the record arrives, that gives you a second starting point after the single. It also shows why the names beside individual tracks are worth reading before ordering an album because of one guest.
The credits beyond the single
Clarion has two appearances, on “Overwrite” and “Giorgia.” They are tracks five and ten, so you’ll find them in different stretches of the album. Together, Clarion and Semones are credited on five separate tracks out of twelve. There is no overlap between those five entries.
The opener, “Day One,” features billy woods and Cotillon. The title track names Mirra Maze and Abby Sage, while “Passing” features Lula Nova. It is a record with several guests, each attached to particular songs.
None of those entries tells us how long a guest performs. Semones’ three credits make up a quarter of the track titles, but we cannot turn that into a percentage of the music. Most of the songs are still unavailable on the Bandcamp page.
Panchiko and CJ Mirra are credited for production, mixing and mastering. There is also an immersive-audio credit for Mark Gittins. As our album-credit guide explains, recording roles can be a way to discover more music. They don’t replace an edition’s format details.
The wait until April
The Bandcamp preorder gives buyers one track now and the complete album at release. “One Car Hits Another” runs 3:09; the download offer specifies 24-bit/48kHz. The vinyl listing gives shipping as on or around April 9, which leaves delivery time after dispatch.
The official album page has separate links for purchases and streaming presaves. Choose a purchase offer if you want the download. A presave is for a streaming account.
For anyone still deciding, the single is already there to hear without waiting for the other eleven tracks. The full guest list adds reasons to check back in April, when the whole record will be available.
