Life Support is available as a download while its red vinyl edition remains a preorder. Battle Box's official listing gives the record an estimated release date of January 29, 2027. Listeners who want the music now do not have to wait for that pressing.
The soundtrack brings together an original score by Robert Del Naja and Habib Shehada Hanna with tracks from several other contributors. It accompanies Daniele Rugo's documentary about medics in Gaza, narrated by Denise Gough. Del Naja's involvement makes this a release of interest to Massive Attack listeners, but the Various Artists credit deserves attention: it is a compilation, not a newly announced Massive Attack studio album.
Hear the release before choosing the record
The store offers MP3 and WAV/FLAC downloads. It identifies the MP3 option as 320 kbps. The vinyl listing also shows WAV/FLAC alongside the physical edition, so check the selected format before paying for a separate digital copy.
That distinction is useful if the attraction is the music rather than the object. A download can join a local library without the wait for manufacturing and delivery. The record is a different purchase, with its own timetable and physical packaging. Neither route tells us how the mastering compares: MP3Raid has not tested the downloads or a finished pressing.
The 13-track programme includes Kneecap, Yasmine Hamdan, 47Soul, Aar Maanta and Massar Egbari. The Five Techniques contribution features Paul Weller, David Holmes and Róisín El Cherif. Those credits are a better starting point for exploring the release than assigning every track to its most familiar name. Our guide to compilation credits explains why the release artist and individual performers can differ.
Read the donation pledge precisely
Battle Box says profits from the 13-track vinyl will go to the Health Workers 4 Palestine solidarity fund. The distinction between profits and the full selling price matters. The statement also specifically identifies the vinyl; it does not establish that every download purchase or stream is covered by the same pledge.
If the donation is your main reason for buying, use that stated scope when choosing the format. The listing does not give a fixed donation amount per record. There is no basis here for calculating how much a particular order will contribute.
Check the estimate again before ordering
The physical edition is described as a single 180-gram red EcoSonic LP with a full-colour sleeve. January 29 is labelled an estimated release date, so treat it as a preorder timetable rather than a guaranteed delivery day.
For now, the practical choice is straightforward: use the digital option to hear the compilation, or consider the vinyl for its physical edition and the label's specific charity pledge. Keep the contributor credits, format and expected dispatch timing together when comparing the options.
